Ellsworth Kelly - Windows

“After constructing Window with two canvases and a wood frame, I realized that from then on painting as I had know it was finished for me. […] It was a new freedom: there was no longer the need to compose. The subject was there already made, and I could take from everything.”Ellsworth Kelly, 1969

CAHIERS D’ART pays tribute to Ellsworth Kelly (1923-2015) through an exhibition of collages and works on paper from the early 1950s. This exhibition, organized in collaboration with The Ellsworth Kelly Foundation and Matthew Marks Gallery.
